What has really worked for me:I like the cover, is sexy, dangerous, hot.
I like the idea behind the plot. It's different, having MC trying to get out of the lifestyle.
It was a fast-paced read, that kept me guessing and left me wanting more. I'm really curious to read Sam's book.
It was a very sexy read. The steamy scenes had great description and they added nicely to the story. The couple's chemistry was great.
It was an addictive read. I read it almost in one sitting and had trouble letting it go.
What could have been better:
In my opinion, the book was too tame for a MC read. Not violent enough, not rough enough.
Sarah had just finished university but all she wanted to do was move in with her boyfriend. Then, when that relationship didn't work, she found someone else to keep her. She didn't want to go back to her parents home, but we never really understood what sort of problems she had with her parents.
Joey was a great alpha, until he decided to forget everything because of passion. It goes against everything an MC would do.
I've really liked the different approach to the MC books out there, that it may not be such a great life and someone would like to get out. But the lack of respect for MC rules by several of them, it didn't feel credible.
You MAY buy this because you like MC's books; you should buy this book because you like your stories hot; you MUST read this book because you are ready for a refreshing new side of a MC lifestyle!!!

This is my 1st review reading some of the reviews makes me realize not every one has same taste.
I absolutely loved this story it was full of action. The Hero didn't run the usual tuff , super dude I stand by my club no matter what, he was more realistic. The Herron has been called weak but I don't see her weak I despise these women that beat up on the good guy, become so annoying then do a 360. She is a regular girl who is scared and wants her boyfriend with her. She just graduated from college is not sure where she is heading, her life is completely changed when she finds out her boyfriend is not who she thought he was. I loved this book it was hot, exciting, different, and I loved the end Ms. Black twisted the end and made it different then most books on MC's more real. Easy to accept a happy ending.

What a great bad boy romance! I have never read a Selena Black book before this one. I can't wait to read more! I had trouble putting this book down! I don't want to write too much because I don't want to spoil it! Finished it in 2 days and I already want to read it again lol.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed in this offering from Selena Black.
This is the story of Sarah, the recent college graduate with an accounting degree, no job, moving in with current boyfriend, Justin in a posh apartment in Vaucluse, mainly to get out from under her parents rule. While she loves them, she needs less of them knowing every single bit of information about her life. What starts out to be a new beginning for Sarah quickly turns into a nightmare when a tall, handsome, muscular biker breaks into the apartment looking for Justin. When he realizes that Sarah really doesn't know where Justin is or what he has done to the Roadrunners MC he sits and waits for Justin's return assuring Sarah that he won't kill him, but he wants something Justin has stolen from his club, and is determined to have it back.
Joey is the Sgt. at Arms for the Roadrunners, and he and Sam are trying to unravel the mystery of missing drugs, and the hidden camera footage clearly shows Justin lightening one of the drug packages. Just gets a warning and a beating from Joey on the first night, and quickly gives the drugs back to Joey with the understanding that Sarah has seen the tape of Justin and some of MC's available women so their relationship is over. Justin will pay the rent on the apartment and never come back to bother Sarah. Justin has other ideas and does come back, and Sarah calls Joey. He gets there fast, and has another go around with Justin, and vows if he ever shows up again he will more than beat him up.
Joey consoles Sarah on yet another scare, and he and Sarah settle into a routine for the next couple of weeks, and Sarah finds that while she would never have imagined herself with a biker, she rather likes Joey and how he makes her feel safe and wanted. However, Joey's time away from the club is breeding ill content in Chucky, who is not a fan of Joey, and had a drugs nearly go wrong because Joey didn't do his job but was off with Sarah. Chucky, and a somewhat reluctant Liam, decide to take matters into their own hands, get rid of Sarah then Joey. What these two do not count on is Joey being on the phone with Sarah when Chucky and two hired thugs break into the apartment and kidnap her. Joey has to think of where Chucky would have taken her, and remembers the club's safe house. He goes to rescue Sarah, and nearly ends up killing the two kidnappers, but gets the info that Chucky is behind all this. And the story goes on from there.
For me this was a bit far fetched and a bit loose even for a criminal MC. Why on earth would Sarah stay in an apartment that was broken into by a biker, her boyfriend after he was put out, and more criminals???? Going back to her parents would have been heaven compared to what she put herself through to be "independent". Further, Chucky and Liam seemed to be working outside of the MC, and while it does happen, there is little mention of any other members of the club, like a President or VP, and why Chucky didn't bring his bitch about Joey to a Club Church meeting, and go from there instead of taking it upon himself to kidnap Sarah, and then try to kill both Sarah and Joey later. Doesn't seem plausible to me.
I enjoyed reading this book. I will recommend this author to my friends and I will continue to follow her.

When she moves in things are good and one Saturday she goes to the beach with her boyfriend but he has to go to work when they should be home having fun. While she is waiting for him Joey shows up looking for Justin. Apparently he is the sergeant of arms of a local MC and he is in charge of the drug distribution. When his friend Sam notices they are short they tape the lab and find out Justin is cheating him. That is what brings him to Justin's house. Sarah doesn't believe him but he changes her mind. Joey finds her attractive and feels bad for her but will it be enough for Sarah to leave Justin when he has no where else to go? Will Sarah leave Justin for Joey?
